Ten Things To Keep You Sane At Home When Bored😴

Are you bored out of your mind, sitting at home and watching the hours pass by? Well don't worry, because when boredom hits, creativity strikes! Here are 10 super-fun, worth-it life hacks to keep you busy all day and help you to escape the deadly clutches of boredom.

1) Books, Books and Books!

Pick up any one of those entrancing books sitting on that dusty-old bookshelf and get ready to dive into new worlds of mystery, romance or heart-stopping adventures! And if you have already finished reading all your books, then maybe try writing one?🙃

2)Try out the "ACTIVITIES" page on your daily newspaper

Think you can solve the New York Times crossword...or maybe the Bombay Times Sudoku? Not only is it a great brain building exercise but it will also give you something new and exciting to do. But don't get so lost in it that you forget to read the hilarious comics that come along with it ;)

3)Take out those dusty board games

Board games! The ultimate escape route from boredom! If you have a sibling or two, then make a boring afternoon exciting by taking out that old Monopoly or Guess Who? and show them who's the best🤩

4) Try a DIY project

There are dozens of DIY videos on YouTube, maybe you could try one of them! Instead of searching the mall for various accessories, you could give people your own hand-made personalized gifts. Who knows, you might end up liking it so much that in some time, maybe you can also start your own business😎

5)Have you heard of 'Indoor Plants'?

A new hobby which is quite in trend right now, indoor planting is the new vogue! Give your house a beautiful makeover with pretty Peace Lilies or the calming Aloe Vera...there are dozens of variety to choose from! Also, if you don't have much space, then you can try hanging plants too🌻

6)Learn a new language

A little extra knowledge never harmed anyone. So, pick your city, choose the language and get started! Personally, I think the best app for learning a new language is Duolingo. I myself have been learning French on it for the past one year and it's amazing. Here's the invite below!👇

Learn a language with me for free! Duolingo is fun, and proven to work.

7)Have you tried BuzzFeed quizzes yet?

Ranging from personality to IQ quizzes...BuzzFeed is a great platform to keep your mind busy when you're not in the mood to do much! On top of that, you can even create BuzzFeed quiz parties and play them with your friends😍

8)Check out Just Dance

For those who easily get demotivated while exercising, Just Dance is an epic way to have fun, and at the same time, to shed those calories! With hundreds of songs to choose from you can either dance with a partner or just have all the fun by yourself💃

9)Make a Bucket List

Do you wanna scale Mount Everest...or maybe get a house in Beverly Hills? Well then what are you waiting for...start making your list! One day, when you're gonna be rolling in money😌, you might have the opportunity to do all this! Someday in the future, when you're bored, you may look back and realize that you still have a lot of things to do yet...so don't stop now!

10)Plan your next trip

The best for the last! Almost all of us will be ready to bust out of our doors as soon as this pandemic is over...just make sure that you are ready for it! Start planning your dream vacation from now...whether it's the Maldives, Spain, Jammu & Kashmir...don't leave anything untouched📸

Ever heard of the famous saying - Necessity is the mother of invention? Well, when you have a "necessity" for fun then your brain will automatically start devising ways to keep your mind occupied. "Boredom" is actually a blessing in disguise which is here to wake up those creative cells and make your life interesting...the time you ENJOY wasting is never wasted time, so get ready to explore yourself. And as rightly said by the author Sanjo Jedayi - "Boredom doesn't exist where creativity lives."
