How I Wake Up at 4AM and Stay Productive the ENTIRE DAY👍

I drink an insane (and probably unhealthy) amount of coffee ☕️

Cappuccino makes me sleepy, and if I'm honest, at 4AM, I do not have enough brain cells to make coffee with milk and not mess it up. I'm pretty sure one of these days I'm going to end up adding salt. So, to prevent that from happening, I drink simple black coffee.

It's like, smoking weed instead of eating weed brownies. Three spoonfuls of Nescafe, one cup water and then one minute in the microwave and voilĂ  - you hold one of the most bitterest concoctions known to mankind. But believe me, the bitterness plays a major role in waking you up. It's like a metaphorical slap to your nervous system - yes, the same slap your mother gives you in the morning to wake you up. However, coffee does have one drawback - if you drink it everyday for say like one to two weeks, then your body is going to develop an added level of tolerance to it - simply put, it will stop affecting you. The only way to stop that from happening is to stop drinking coffee for a few days so believe me when I say this - weekends for me are PURE HELL. Because of no coffee, I'm tired, lethargic, bored and just simply devoid of life. But regardless, the boost that coffee gives me on the weekdays is worth the torture. I can study for two hours in the morning and still focus in school and even make it to classes after school. Plus, coffee makes you happy so it's an added plus point :)

(Yes, I'm well aware I sound like an addict.)

Never compensate on your PRIME TIME🕰️

If you are waking up at 4AM, you have an added two hours of PRIME STUDY TIME. Believe me, at that early in the morning your body is so mad at you that the last thing that you want to do is touch your phone because the moment you do, your eyes are going to start burning. That PRIME TIME of two hours is usually reserved for my most important studying. Or, because it's before school, it gives me time to complete the homework which I promised I would do last night before succumbing to watching Big Bang Theory or taking the printout I had forgotten about Not only that, but believe me when I say, if you study the topic you know you are going to learn in class that day, your understanding increases EXPONENTIALLY. I studied Structure of Atom in the morning and lo and behold, even at the superfast speed my teacher was going at, I understood everything. Believe me, you can get so much done in those two hours that it's damn near crazy. Whether that be studying a new topic, completing leftover submissions or whatever, never compensate on your two hours because they will be the most productive of your day.

The infamous after-school productivity slump💀

The effects of coffee will only sustain you for 6-10 hours so after school, your system inevitably starts crashing down. For me, the best cure for years has been an afternoon nap. I come home, have my lunch while watching Netflix for half an hour and then sleep for an hour. If my class is at 3:30pm, then I will cut down on my Netflix time, but never on my sleep time because honestly, SLEEP IS A LUXURY WE CAN SELDOM AFFORD. To me, that one hour nap is pure heaven and allows my mind to take a break from all the school drama and stress. It's almost like a fresh start again and usually I have my classes in the evening, so it helps me stay focused.

Hooray! You're headed on a crash course!🏃‍♀️‍➡️

You have successfully survived through your two hours, school and classes...if your body isn't dead, there was something wrong with your coffee. My classes get over anywhere from 5:30pm - 6:30pm, depending on when they start but instead of heading back home where I know for a fact I will be distracted by my phone, I stay at class itself and complete my homework. And plus, if you're a science student, YOU ALWAYS HAVE INCOMPLETE HOMEWORK. Believe me, I spend so much time at my institution even after my classes are over that some of my friends are certain that "ye toh padi rehti hai idhar har samay." Whether that be half hour of homework time or one hour, I atleast get something done because something is better than nothing. Plus, I plan accordingly - if I have less time I get the smaller homework which can be done in fifteen minutes but is still procrastinated for God knows what reason (I still have to write the derivation for parallelogram law and maam made us do that BEFORE THE VACATIONS.)

STOP! You'll go crazy, REMEMBER, you need to do this 5 days a week😵‍💫

For me, after 7:30pm, it's officially a no study zone, of course, unless there is something really important. But usually, it's very difficult for me to study after 7:30pm so I reserve that time for other hobbies - particularly gym and Big Bang Theory. But if there's anything I've learned, then that it is very important to take some time out and actually do what you enjoy. It could even be mindless scrolling through reels on Insta, it doesn't matter! It should just not involve studying or anything that might utilize your remaining brain cells, because half of the time, I need them to comprehend what the hell Sheldon is saying.
