FitFreak🏋️‍♂️

Supp guys!! Seeing how much you liked my first FitNation post, I thought I'd delight you with another....I present you - FitFreak!! Now, unfortunately because of the second wave we again have to welcome this delightful lockdown (that was sarcasm). But, we can turn the tables 'cause now we are much more experienced. I'd like to think that we have left those feelings of loneliness, nostalgia and unhappiness that enveloped us during the first lockdown, behind us. Now, we can look at the lockdown and yell at it's face - "HAHAHAHAHA!! You lose!! I'mma take this opportunity to improve myself!! I'm laughing at your face you lockdown!! I'm a fun monster now, you can't stop me!! MWAHAHAHAHA!! 😜😈" (By the way please don't go around screaming in your room like that, your parents would think my madness is infectious and prevent you from reading my posts) But, let's get to the point now, this time the lockdown won't control us, we will control it!

WHAT TO DO AND WHEN TO DO?

Alright, so we all know that this is a pretty solid question in everybody's mind. Exercise? Okay, jumping jacks here I come! People, exercise does not mean only jumping jacks....or as the fitness freaks call it CARDIO. Exercise means working out every single part in your body - your arms, legs, thighs, abs and even your back! Every part in the body is equally important and deserves equal attention. You can't just do cardio everyday and then suddenly wake up and say...I'm gonna do abs today! Believe me....IT HURTS. Also, working out everyday is not such a great idea. Sometimes the healthy option is taking a break or going out just for a small walk...nothing high intensity. That way, you and your muscles get to have a relaxed day and also get time to recover and get you ready for the next workout!

IS CARDIO GOOD ON A DAILY BASIS?

Yes and no. That's the answer to that question...it is, but at the same time it isn't. People who want to lose weight think doing the treadmill everyday or doing pushups and jumping jacks everyday will help them lose weight, and they are right! But, only at the beginning. That's because when you just start seriously working out, it's all new to your body...so to adjust your body helps you to get rid of all those extra kilos. But, after say two-three months or so, when your body is fully adjusted, you will notice that your weight isn't increasing, but it isn't going down either....i.e. it's now stuck at one place. It's now like a part of your routine....like if you shower everyday you look exactly the same, a bit cleaner maybe....but if you shower after say 1 week, you are a lot cleaner! (Guys please shower everyday, we have got already enough viruses in the air as it is) But, the actual point here is that excess of anything is not good. So what should I do rest of the days, you ask? Let's go to the next topic I say :-D.

MAKING A ROUTINE

Okay, not gonna lie...I have a routine but I sorta follow it...alright I don't, nobody's perfect!! What is a routine? It's like a timetable that you organize that suits your body and also gives equal importance to all your body parts, For eg: We know that cardio is important, so maybe on alternate days (say Monday, Wednesday and Friday) you can do all those high-intensity exercises, the other days maybe you can sneak a small skipping session or a short 1km run on the treadmill. But, on the days when you are not doing cardio your main focus should be the other parts of your body. Like Tuesdays could be the dreaded abs day, Thursdays could be the painful thigh days and the weekend could be just relaxing brisk walking days...the routines you make are totally up to you. Nobody knows your body better than you, so make your own routines. You're the boss and the sky is the limit!

P.S If you need already designed routines many fitness youtubers and instructors update it on Instagram and YouTube.

LASTLY - WHY DO I LACK MOTIVATION?!

Don't worry guys, as I said nobody's like God. On days you lack motivation just pump up those tunes high and loud, close that door and dance like a maniac. If that doesn't make you feel better, then you are an alien 👽👽. Somedays, maybe you are bored by the same routines. In that case, don't be afraid to change it up a bit! You don't wanna do abs? Nobody's forcing you! Go run like the wind! But don't lose hope! C'mon, all of us like that little feeling of triumph that we get after finishing a workout (or by staying alive after a Pamela Reif's ab workout). Work hard for that little but great, awesome and top of the world feeling...that's your motivation! Music is also a great form of encouragement....either you can do power yoga with that soul soothing relaxing beats or you can do power yoga with those EDM, bass drop, funky beats! It's totally up to you!! If you're doing something for your own benefit then it is sure to make you happy. Just don't forget that sometimes its okay to give up, only if you are willing get up again. And remember, exercise should not be done to look like those models and youtubers that you follow....it should be done to live a happy, healthy and a long life. After all, LOOKS ARE DECEPTIVE. You just need to keep doing it for your own health and goodness...especially in these times where our health is our utmost concern. Just don't lose hope and stay motivated!!

So, on an ending note I'd like to say that even though it has been a while since we have celebrated festivals with our families and have disco danced with our friends...let's not be sad, let's always find something to cheer ourselves up. Maybe take up gardening or wake up early one day in the morning and hear the sweet songs of the birds...or maybe just go and hug your dog or your loved ones and ask them how life is...because life is a gift and every person deserves to be happy. And who says you can't have fun by yourself?! You very much can! Me time is precious time, embrace it! So, this is me signing off guys, hope you enjoyed it...and remember: Stay home, stay safe and stay happy 😀!! As rightly said by Mark Twain - "Give everyday the chance to become the most beautiful day of your life."
